Operated by the Parsons family since 1908, Hillcrest, one of the oldest continuously-owned family orchards in the Rogue River Valley, has grown some of the region's finest fruit and produce.
Hillcrest Orchard currently produces pear varieties which include Comice, Bosc, Green Bartlett, Forelle, and Starkrimson. Hillcrest pears are packed and marketed all over the world. Our premium pears fill sumptuous gift boxes, while others are sold to local markets and canneries. In addition, Hillcrest produces several varieties of apples, peaches, and vegetables, which are sold on site in Hillcrest's historic barn. The planting of Hillcrest's vineyard began in 1997. Hillcrest's shallow, limestone-clay soils and warm southern exposure are ideally suited to producing extraordinary Bourdeaux and Rhone winegrape varietals.
In 2002 Hillcrest introduced Roxyann Winery with the mission to produce world-class wines, while supporting the Parsons family's commitment to preserving this land for future generations in the Rogue Valley to enjoy.
We strive to honor our agricultural heritage by cultivating the orchard and vineyard under sustainable land management practices.
We use cover crops and compost to produce a natural cycle of nutrition and organic matter throughout our property. Our workers utilize time-tested agricultural techniques that support a living, healthy soil and prevent damage to the ecosystems that surround our land. We take extra care to prevent soil erosion, limit our water use to protect the aquifers we share with neighbors, and respect wildlife habitat.
Come visit our historic orchard and vineyard and experience the authentic tast of Southern Oregon at our Fruit Stand and RoxyAnn Winery Tasting Room.
We invite you to bring a picnic, and enjoy the "fruits of our labor" while overlooking the vineyard and orchard from our beautiful gardens. The Barn and Gardens are both available for group rental and special events.
